A street musician can sometimes have to work hard to draw any attention from the passers by. On a quiet day the problem is even worse, but this determined individual chose to play on regardless. The tabby cat heard the sounds and came to investigate, so for a time he had the cat's appreciative attention, even though the lady crossing in the background was slightly puzzled by the scene before her.
This is intended for cat lovers and music lovers everywhere. It is a painting created by using the best wax pencil colours blended with a solvent and is 12" x8" on fine quality heavyweight watercolour paper.

These magnificent and beautiful creatures are being poached to extinction by ivory hunters. This appalling criminality is driven by an evil greed. Despite considerable efforts to stamp out the trade in ivory, it continues to this day and the time will surely arrive when we no longer see these wonderful animals in their natural habitat.
I created this picture both from my appreciation of elephants and from my concerns and fears for their future. We should, as humans, remember that we are capable of doing great things but are also capable of unimaginable horrors. We must ask ourselves the question: do we wish to be at one with the natural world, or do we prefer to be its destroyers?
This is a pen and colour pencil sketch. It is on quality white card and measures 24 cm x 17 cm including the narrow border as seen.
WOODLAND DEER Pastel A3 size £95
The English early morning mist and backlighting from the low, rising sun haloes these delightful, beautiful and fugitive creatures. Utterly defenceless, yet some people choose to shoot them, calling it sport. Shame we can't give the deer rifles for defence.
